The Halliday Foundation’s aim is to provide immediate practical support and provide sustainable pathways out of poverty for the most vulnerable residents in east end of Glasgow and beyond. Those living in poverty, have addictions, mental ill health, seeking asylum, socially isolated, long term unemployed or are homeless.

Our ethos and culture is non-judgemental and based on building strong, trusting relationships with people who use our services, our volunteers and local community partners. We work to remove the stigma of poverty and social isolation experienced by people using our services.

This role will involve travel to local communities and community centres around Glasgow.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract with a view to extend.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create and develop projects for children and families.
- Create and distribute thrive development packs.
- Purchase resources in line with funding criteria and manage budgets accordingly.
- Plan and deliver baby and toddler groups.
- Plan and deliver holiday programmes including outings.
- Plan and deliver child development parent workshops.
- Work in conjunction with children's services, health agencies and other community based services to provide the most effective service for children, young people and families.
- Connect clients with community resources, such as housing assistance, healthcare services, and financial aid programs.
- Liaise with other services within the charity to provide coordinated support for families.
- Support and train project volunteers.
- Build positive relationships with children and families.
- Create reports as directed by the Director of Operations and Board of Trustees.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation
- Maintain and update project social media accounts and booking systems.
- Experience of planning, developing and running projects.
- HNC Childhood Practice at SCQF Level 7 or SVQ Social Services Children and Young People at SCQF Level 7.
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Driving licence.
