We are looking for an Assistant Clinical Psychologist to join our CAHMS Learning Disability team. This is a 0.6wte post.
- Promote the psychological health and well-being of children and young people within the LD CAMHS service
- Under the supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist, to provide psychological assessment, intervention, research, and evaluation services to individuals, or groups of children and young people.
- Under the supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist, to assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, and development of audit and / or research projects, teaching, and project work.

Clinical
- Assist in the formulation and delivery of care plans involving the psychological treatment and / or management of a service users problems, under the supervision of a qualified professional psychologist within the CAMHS LD Team.
- Assist in the planning, coordination and running of staff support forums such as reflective practice, case discussion, formulation and CPD workshops
- Work with other staff to assess service users and review their care in preparation of multi-disciplinary reviews
- Attend and contribute to appropriate multi-disciplinary meetings
- Maintain appropriate records in electronic or hard copy in line with Trust policies and Professional guidelines. Includes workload data and using word processing skills to produce service user related reports

We provide a Multi-professional preceptorship programme that is aligned to the National Preceptorship Framework for Nursing and have been awarded the Interim quality mark from NHS England. Our programme is provided to all Newly Qualified; Nurses, Nursing Associates, Internationally Educated Practitioners, Allied Health Professionals and Return to Practice Practitioners. In addition to the programme we also offer all preceptees the opportunity of enrolling and completing the level 7 (Masters) 15 credit validated module “Preceptorship for Healthcare” (AP7026).

Newly qualified Social Workers are offered the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment programme (ASYE) which is similar to a preceptorship programme.
