With an unrivalled reputation for quality and patient centred service delivery, the service has over 2500 valued customers across the UK and a turnover of circa £10 million per year. There are in house quality assurance, customer sales and stores teams supporting the provision of a large range of terminally sterilised, aseptic and non-sterile products, including products for clinical trials.

Applications are welcomed from individuals with experience of pharmacy production and/or quality assurance who can demonstrate a track record of effective leadership.

The role is split across three main functions;
- Being responsible for the strategic development and operational delivery of the PSS service including regulatory compliance for the Manufacturer’s ‘Specials’ Licence, Manufacturer’s Authorisation (IMP), Wholesale Distribution Authorisation (Human), Controlled Drugs Licence and GPhC Registered Pharmacy
- Providing strategic advice to the NHS Scotland Directors of Pharmacy on the procurement of pharmaceutical specials - a national specialist advisor
- Innovation - expanding collaboration with academic institutions and research partners across Scotland and beyond

Hours of work are full time (37.5 hrs per week), Interviews will take place on Monday 30 January 2023.
