Applications are invited for this substantive 10 programmed activities (PA) per week Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist post to support Women’s Health Services across NHS Tayside.


We are a dynamic and forward-thinking team and are keen to recruit a colleague who will work flexibly with other members of the multi-disciplinary team in the provision of Women’s Health services in NHS Tayside based in Ninewells Hospital Dundee, Perth Royal Infirmary & Arbroath Hospital.


This is a permanent appointment. The expectation is that the successful candidate will provide support for Obstetrics services across NHS Tayside. There will be opportunities for the successful candidate to develop a Special Interest that complements the current service in Tayside. The post holder will be required to manage high risk obstetric clinics, intrapartum care and inpatient services.


There is a need to provide out of hours cover for women with Obstetric emergencies. This will include non-resident on call Consultant commitments for general and high-risk Obstetrics in Ninewells Hospital with prospective cover and weekend cover.
