**Support Worker - The Bridge in Falmouth**

**About the You**

Providing daytime support for adults with learning disabilities.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive support worker to join our small team. Someone with a passion for care, who enjoys supporting people to live a fulfilled life.

The post is 27 hours a week across 4 days (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays), there is some flexibility in start and finish times for the right individual.

The Bridge is situated in Falmouth and supports adults with a learning disability and/or PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning disabilities)

The Bridge offers a wide range of activities and sessions to meet the needs and outcomes of the people we support. The Bridge promotes independence, inclusion and empowerment and seeks to support people to discover new opportunities and experiences.

The role involves supporting with personal care, medication administration and support with eating and drinking in a way that respects the individual’s dignity, rights and choices. We support people out in the community, we access local events and support individuals to take part in activities and sessions at The Bridge.

An NVQ level 2 or equivalent is required and a level of competency in computer skills using Microsoft Office is preferable. Experience of working with people with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning disabilities) is desirable but not essential.

Relevant training will be provided as part of this role, as well as regular supervision, a generous leave entitlement including Bank Holidays and access to the employee’s discount scheme. A DBS is required for this role.

**About the Role**

This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.

Whilst the location/work-base for this role may have been specified our evolving ways of working means that the role may require you to also work remotely (e.g., from home/other locations). We will discuss this with you during the recruitment process.
