**A contracted position has become available working withinPowertrain Manufacturing Engineering (PTME) which is a key contributing organisation within the business’s transformation from the historical product line-up of Internal CombustionEngines (ICE) to a strong Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) powertrain offerings.**

Your role within the team would be to improve the creativity and innovation achieved within and amongst a large manufacturing engineering team. The role is open to help modernise the business through incremental and radical innovations across our productsand processes.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Collaborate closely with specialists spread out across several engineering functions, taking charge of preparing bids and overseeing programme delivery to meet their objectives.
- Design strategies to increase engineering innovation and locate new internal and external collaboration opportunities.
- Identify Opportunities for Targeted Innovation.
- Use your innate curiosity and communication abilities to comprehend the important problem statements that have an impact on the team's delivery and come up with original solutions.
- Examine the changing environment and look for opportunities across industries to create new, replicate, and improve processes using your manufacturing knowledge.
- Maintain and grow the business network and relationships with internal and external partners.
- Identify opportunities for collaborative projects that build on the companies world-class manufacturing competencies to create new opportunities.
- Innovate and collaborate - to deliver and lead work packages as part of funded and non-funded innovative R&D projects through formal and informal collaborations and co-operations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to protect intellectual property and spread knowledge, with agility and manage your time to support in-flight projects whilst also searching for new projects and opportunities.
- Manage collaborative projects and their stakeholders in terms of timing, risk, budget, issue resolution, working with the director of manufacturing as required.

**Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience**:

- Demonstrated ability to solve problems
- A track record of success managing projects with many internal and external stakeholders.
- The capacity to effectively communicate (both orally and in writing) at all levels of an organisation.
- Extremely successful stakeholder management
- Strong mastery of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experienced in coordinating and writing bids for funding.
- Managed technical projects and work package delivery
- Knowledge of writing compelling business plans to secure required resource allocation
- Working knowledge of the **UK funding landscape**:

- SharePoint ownership or use of equivalent knowledge and information-sharing tools

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree; or ideally 5+ years of industry experience without a degree.

**Additional Information**:

- ** THIS POSITION IS CONFIRMED INSIDE IR35**:

- Hybrid Working - Work onsite in open office one day per week (flexibly) and, occasionally, travel to suppliers/customers/partners to visit facility or kick-off a collaborative project.
