Our client has a fantastic opportunity for Senior Merchandiser to join their Merchandising department. They are currently looking to a recruit ambitious, driven and highly motivated Senior Merchandiser to play their part in driving the business forward. You will be based at our modern purpose-built air-conditioned Head Office.

**The Job**:
As a Senior Merchandiser you will support the Head of Merchandising and in developing, planning and delivering a commercially focused range alongside the Buying team, whilst driving profit and enhancing the Peacocks brand position. Continually exceeding and anticipating customer expectations by using effective commercial and planning skills. Building effective working relationships across the business and develop team members to reach their maximum potential.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Department Category Planning by Season
- Forecast profits and sales, and optimise the sales volume and profitability of designated product area
- Range/Assortment Planning
- Lead Weekly Stock Sales and Intake forecasts (WSSI)In Season Forecasting and Markdown Maintenance
- Leading by example, training and developing the wider Merchandising team
- Reporting - Weekly, Seasonal KPIs
- Plan budgets and present sales forecasts and figures for new ranges
- Control stock levels based on forecasts for the season
- Preparing Trade reports confidently presenting to key stakeholders driving out clear weekly trade actions for the team, adapting analysis and actions to the trading environment.
- Reviewing weekly trading performance and achieved KPI's, identifying issues and the course of action presenting to the Head of Merchandising/Merch Directors
- Planning/Forecasting/Reporting at Line Level, Category & Department Level.
- You will be work on new product launches, offers and promotions.
- You will be our expert in your Department Category and Line Level Sales/Margin/Stock Levels for your particular department.
- Works closely with the Buying team to build a balanced range in line with customer expectation that reflects the Peacocks brand strategy, by delivering correct product mixes, price architecture and delivers the right product at the right quantity to the right store.
- Managing department WSSI’s., reacting to performance, managing risk and potentialising bestseller
- Analyses and monitors best and worst sellers and makes informed recommendations for action
- Recommends promotions and re buys as necessary.
