Macmillan Cancer Care Coordinator - Upper Gastrointestinal

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trusts Upper Gastrointestinal team. You will be working alongside an established team of clinicians and Specialist Nurses to provide care for patients.

The post will involve provision of a high standard of care and support to people affected by cancer.

This post will require regular contact with people, to support and signpost patients by telephone and face to face contact, to ensure effective progress along the care pathways and liaising with other colleagues and departments in the hospital.

This role requires an enthusiastic individual with good interpersonal skills, delivering effective care for patients with Upper Gastrointestinal cancer, who is highly motivated, confident and organised.

Leadership and Improvement Training

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the New and Aspiring leaders programme, and the Foundation Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. After you complete this one and a half day of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.
