**What will I be doing?**
As a Section 106 - Monitoring and Enforcement Administration Officer, your main role will be to manage the administration for Section 106 Legal Agreements for the Somerset Council to ensure compliance with legal obligations relating to approved developments and support the Planning Enforcement Team in terms of carrying out the administrative tasks associated with Case investigations.
Your day-to-day work will involve:
- Liaising with Planning Officers and Legal services to ensure s106 agreements and obligations are accurately recorded on the database.
- Provide administrative support for the Planning Enforcement Service - this will include completing all administrative tasks of setting up new cases for investigation.
- Acting as first point of contact for enforcement enquiries for all our stakeholders including Councillors and Colleagues.
**What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?**

- Knowledge of the Development Management Process
- Experience of handling negotiations and/or queries firmly and tactfully with the ability to persuade and negotiate in difficult circumstances.
- Computer Literate with experience of recording finances.
- Knowledge of s106 process.
- An effective communicator with excellent customer care skills.

The salary for the role is grade 12, ranging from £24,496 to £27,852 per annum.
