**The Role**
- Work in partnership with tenants to deliver a high quality and unique tenancy sustainment service
- Engage, motivate and enable tenants to develop life skills and strategies that lead to positive life, work and health outcomes.
- Ensure proactive and solution focussed approach to risk management
- Enrich lives through collaborative working with tenants and relevant social, health and wellbeing partners
- Always respect a tenants autonomy and encourage personal responsibility

**Key result areas**

**Tenancy Sustainment**
- Provide guidance, support, information to ensure tenants understand and fulfil their tenancy agreement
- Provide safe, skilled support and advice around welfare benefits and budgeting.
- Assist tenant to pay rent, service charges on time and ensure any outstanding arrears are managed and maintained
- Provide proactive solutions to assist in dissolving tenancy disputes and dynamics
- Use time to ensure tenants have access to appropriate communication aids/information

**Meaningful Occupation**
- Provide a mix of tenant led social, emotional and practical support which focuses on work/volunteering, education and training

**Health & Wellbeing**
- Signpost/advise/facilitate and always ensure tenants have access to and are encouraged to maintain health and community links
- Communicate with others on a need to know basis (with consent)
- Follow safeguarding procedures

**Tenant Involvement**
- Support consultation events ensuring tenants are involved in decisions relating to their accommodation and housing management issues

**Communal facilities**
- Report and resolve communal faults
- Assist tenants to access laundry facilities/tokens
- Record meter readings
- Monitor use of communal areas ensuring tenants are not adversely effected by others
- Support tenants to maintain communal furniture/items and engage them in designing planned changes/replacements

**Safety & Security**
- Complete monthly Health & Safety inspections
- Report any nuisance or safety issues affecting the security & welfare of tenants
- Complete compliance tasks for Fire Safety and Legionella
- Research and share information re stranger danger/home security and other safety campaigns
- Ensure good contacts/partnerships with local community safety officers

**Repairs & Maintenance**
- Support tenants to report faults/issues regarding their accommodation
- Monitor quality of contractors work
- Ensure tenants are available for planned maintenance/repairs/compliance visits
- Support tenants in preparing for transition to new accommodation
- Complete resettlement type activities at move in and move on

**Administration**
- Use the IT systems in place to record all support sessions
- Use the IT systems in place to record all safety and compliance tasks
- Use the IT systems in place to develop a support plan for each tenant

**Qualifications**

It is **desirable** that you have one or more of these qualifications:

- Level 2/3 QCF in health & social care (or equivalent)
- CIH level 3 Certificate in Supporting Homeless People

**Additional items**
- Willingness to travel across the area and have access to own vehicle for work use
- Work to expectations and standards contained within all company policies and procedures
- Attend meetings/training as required
- Work flexibly to suit tenants diaries and commitments

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 22 per week

**Salary**: £14,804.60 per year
