The Alternative Provision Co-ordinator / Senior Learning Mentor role is a unique role that involves co-ordinating alternative provision, holding the designated safeguarding deputy role, providing a high level of pastoral support for learners and an element of academic or vocational delivery.

It requires someone who has a passion for supporting learners who haven’t found success in a mainstream school setting. The role will require you to be on your feet for a large portion of the day. The right person for this role will be enthusiastic to work with some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged learners in and around Sheffield, who will have a wide spectrum of additional needs and social, emotional and mental health challenges. This role will require a high level of patience and determination to provide opportunities for learners to learn new skills and qualities that help prepare them for their future, including accredited outcomes and progression.
- Be responsible for the co-ordination of referrals to the Endeavour AP liaising with the local authority (LA), schools, external organisations who may refer, and the learners and their parents / carers with a view to growing the Endeavour AP. Be responsible for monitoring referrals and Endeavour AP starter numbers against budget targets, ensuring any discrepancies and concerns are reported.
- Deliver education, activities and opportunities to learners, preparing them for accredited outcomes and progression, and personal and social development.
- Line manage staff (including casual workers, volunteers and placement students)
- Hold the Designated Safeguarding Deputy role
- Ensure all Endeavour AP outcomes are met.
- Develop project content, within the remit of the Endeavour AP outcomes, to meet the needs of the learners.
- Develop and maintain Relationships.
- Maintain Organisational Standards and Expectations.

**Salary**: £25,400.00-£27,400.00 per year
