To be aware of any potential hazards you may cause personally. It is your responsibility to ensure a safe environment. to ensure the use of wet floor signs are in place.

To ensure electrical cables are stored away thereby preventing a trip hazard.

To be aware of the colour coding systems for the relevant cleaning materials.

To be aware of the Home’s standards for cleanliness and ensure these are met on a daily basis. To report any faults/defects to the Head Housekeeper or the person in charge immediately. To ensure all waste bags are emptied at the end of each shift. To ensure confidentiality at all times.

To be aware of the rota and perform the duties outlined. A failure to complete daily tasks / duties should be brought to the attention of the Head Housekeeper or the person in charge in order that appropriate measures can be put in place. To ensure you are fully conversant with the equipment needed to fulfil your role and any maintenance requirements. In all cases you should not attempt to use equipment unless you have been shown how to use such equipment and feel confident in doing so.
- At all times to maintain effective communication and liaison with the Crown Care Group home manager, Head Chef and Chef to ensure the smooth, safe and effective provision of catering / food services.
- To assist the Head Chef / Chef in preparing nutritious, balanced meals consistent to the needs and choices of service users.
- To maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the kitchen, dining and storage areas.
- To keep food free from harmful bacteria and disease.
- To be responsible (under the supervision of the Head Chef) for the serving and removal of food.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25 per week

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour
