**Job description**

Lifestyle Care is a new company, which is part of the Malhotra Group; a family run business based in the North East of England. We are currently recruiting for a Domestic Assistant at Howdon, to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the Care Home, whilst ensuring a safe, comfortable environment at all times.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ensure daily and weekly rota cleaning tasks are carried out to a high standard.
- Clean dining rooms/lounges/lavatories/bedrooms.
- Dust and polish furniture and windowsills.
- Comply with infection prevention and control guidelines.
- Restock toiletries, soaps, towels.
- Maintain a professional knowledge and competence.
- Report immediately to the Home Manager, or Person in Charge, any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a Resident, colleague, self, or another.
- Understand and respect the privacy and individual needs of the Residents.

**What we are looking for**:

- Previous domestic experience.
- Understanding of the care home environment.
- Ability to work successfully within a team.
- Confidentiality.
- Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes.
- Good listening and communication skills.
- The ability to understand and follow policies and procedures.
- Someone to live by our values of dignity, compassion, caring, accountability, and inclusion.
