As a Biological Modelling Specialist, you will be responsible for helping **model cell growth dynamics in our bioreactor platform to inform experimental design decisions**. Working symbiotically with our bioprocess and cell culture teams, you will help develop models of our bioreactor platform, including cell growth dynamics and carry out _in-silico_studies. As a forward thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment, your experience with mathematical modelling will make you an essential team member, bringing concepts to commercialisation.

**Responsibilities**
- Development and refinement of mathematical models of **cell growth dynamics **in our bioreactor platform.
- Simulation studies to inform experimental design decisions.
- Identification of key measurable process parameters.
- Establish a virtuous feedback loop between experimental and modelling teams to optimise bioprocess development.
- Using Design of Experiment software and data-driven research to refine experiments and process workflows.
- Analysing and summarising results sharing insights with the team.
- Presenting data to customers.
- Providing modelling advice to customers.

**You should have**:

- Enthusiasm, curiosity, and drive.
- At least 2 years' experience in industry or a master's in applied mathematics, Mathematical Biology, Engineering, Physics, Computational Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or other related discipline.
- Experience building differential equation-based models of cell growth dynamics, reaction, mass transfer, fluid dynamics, and biological systems modelling.
- Demonstrated ability to perform mathematical calculations, computational simulations, complex data analysis and hands-on knowledge of modelling and simulation software tools such as COMSOL, MATLAB, C++, R, Julia, Python, Monolix or others.
- The understanding of principles and statistical aspects of mathematical modelling and simulation, including sensitivity analysis and parameter estimation techniques, is essential for this role.

**Desirable Experience**
- Ability to work independently and as part of a growing team.
- Application of Design of Experiments.
- Experience with modelling bioreactor platforms.
