Yolk Recruitment are recruiting for a Business & Compliance Specialist to join our client on an initial 12 month contract from their site in Stevenage.

Reporting to the UK SOC Manager and Vulnerability Manager, this role involves providing essential support to the IM SOC in safeguarding against cyber threats and vulnerabilities. You will ensure that both IM and Manufacturing environments adhere to industry best practices, while taking a proactive approach to managing identified vulnerabilities that may be susceptible to exploitation. Your responsibilities will include executing remediation measures in line with pertinent security standards, confirming that remedial actions are carried out following the prescribed risk categorization. This position encompasses a comprehensive operational function spanning all facets of IM, demanding effective Group Coordination.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Demonstrate expert proficiency in Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus, and ISO27001 protocols.
- Oversee Intrusive Testing and Health Checks (ITHCs) across diverse infrastructures with a vulnerability focus, and effectively prioritize remedial actions.
- Foster robust relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
- Exhibit competence in generating reports and presentations using the Microsoft Office suite.
- Drive supplier interaction and collaborative efforts.
- Lend support to compliance and due diligence-oriented activities, including staying current with regulatory updates.
- Lead exploratory activities and audits within various environments.
- Cultivate partnerships and cooperate with teams and stakeholders to formulate tactical and strategic schemes pertinent to vulnerability management.
- Advocate the adoption of security best practices in the realm of technology, establishing oneself as the trusted authority on security vulnerability management.
- Offer security insights and remediation guidance to cross-functional stakeholders, operating at a technical level.
- Actively spot and communicate prevailing external trends and threats.
- Provide counsel to both technical and non-technical audiences regarding the appropriate prioritization of patch deployment.
- Supervise supplier and team-led vulnerability remediation, ensuring re-testing and closure.
- Oversee the rectification strategy for vulnerabilities unearthed during penetration tests and health assessments.
- Demonstrate proven expertise in the lifecycle management of vulnerabilities (MITRE), as well as IT/OT/IoT vulnerability remediation plans.
- Familiarity or expertise in risk management frameworks (e.g., CIS, NIST).
- Possess a thorough understanding of cybersecurity technologies and their corresponding security controls.
- Display a strong comprehension of information security principles and industry best practices.
- Proficient in conducting comprehensive risk assessments.
