**Job Title: Administration Clerk - 37.5 hrs per week**

**About the Trust**

Salford Royal is based at Stott Lane, and it is easily accessible via both car and public transport. There is onsite parking (fees will apply). It has four on site cafes and two restaurants where staff are eligible for a discount. The hospital also has on site shops.

**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Deal effectively and efficiently with any enquiries (telephone or face to face) from clinical and non-clinical staff within the Trust in a professional manner.
- Deal with routine telephone enquiries from patients/carers/general public in a professional, polite and confidential manner, referring to appropriate person/department with regard to any enquiries outside of the post holder’s remit.
- Liaise with clinicians in a timely and professional manner in relation to patients who may need to be rescheduled.
- Attend and contribute to departmental meetings, team briefs etc.

**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:
An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- System knowledge - Medisec, Patient Centre, EPR
- Previous experience in a clerical healthcare environment.
- Excellent IT skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent organisation skills
- Microsoft package knowledge - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
