**Job overview**:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Housekeeper to provide efficient high-quality service to patients and be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities in the unit area.

To support the nursing team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness of the ICU, bed areas, equipment, and storage areas. To support in the reporting and monitoring of environmental cleanliness and safety along with the monitoring of quality standards.

To support the team in maintaining stock and equipment levels.

You should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise across multi agencies and multi-disciplinary departments.

The ability to work independently and adapt to an environment of changing priorities is an essential component to consistently facilitate a patient focused approached.

**This role is only open to internal applicants of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.**

**Main duties of the job**:
We require a well-motivated and enthusiastic individual to work as a Housekeeper within the Intensive care Unit, this role includes the undertaking of daily organisation, maintaining stock levels, audits, and cleanliness of the environment.

You will be working with a fantastic and supportive team who will be happy to assist you as settle within the team. Regular feedback and one-to-one will be provided by your manager to ensure that you stay happy in your job.

Duties include stores ordering, management of stock, maintenance of equipment, also including general housekeeping of the unit.

It is essential that you can work in an orderly and systematic manner, possess good literacy, IT, numeracy, communication and organisational skills.

You should have a caring attitude, as well as the ability to work effectively under direction as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- A good standard of general education.
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience in a housekeeping role.
- Communicates succinctly, clearly, and accurately both verbally and in writing.
- Previous healthcare experience
- Be an effective team member who can relate to colleagues at all levels with tact and diplomacy.
- Must be able to prioritise and organise own work.
- Reliable and punctual
- Excellent personal appearance and adherence to trust work wear policy.
- Experience of working in a team.
