The Visual Arts Department delivers courses in art, photography, graphics and têxtiles to over 500 learners. Our Quarry Hill campus is home to wonderful facilities and a highly skilled staff team who have a broad range of specialist skills and sector knowledge. We deliver a varied curriculum at Levels 1, 2 and 3, which includes both practical and academic skills, to predominantly 16-19 learners.

Based in the Cultural Quarter of Leeds, Quarry Hill Campus is our new £60m campus. A blend of green scenery and modern architecture. It boasts specialist childcare training resources, digital technology labs, and industry standard studios and theatres.
- Work with the Academic staff across Visual Arts to identify learners who require additional non-academic support
- Provide pastoral support to learners ensuring they are able to progress into a positive destination
- Become a designated safeguarding officer for the area
- Work with curriculum and coaching tutor teams to support student success and retention by providing expertise and support in promoting wellbeing and protecting students from harm.
- Provide casework support for crisis and acute safeguarding referrals
- English and Maths at Level 2 or equivalent
- Substantial relevant experience of supporting students who have support needs
- Previous experience of working with vulnerable groups in an educational setting
- Experience of working with a range of partners and referring into their services
- Use of restorative practices and high level of emotional intelligence to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with and to advise and support others
- Must be IT literate
