Buyer, Didcot, £35,000 - £40,000pa plus benefits:
A leading high technology manufacturer of bespoke low volume instrumentation is seeking a Buyer to join their Supply Chain & Operations team. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the successful Buyer will be responsible for the procurement of mechanical basedcomponents, mainly sheet metal and machined components.
The is a supportive Buyer role which requires a high level of accuracy, ownership, timely action and liaison with colleagues and suppliers to ensure the constant flow of components is maintained. Maintaining accurate purchasing records, import/export liaisonprocesses and actioning low to medium value purchase orders is of utmost importance.
About you, the Buyer:
The successful Buyer could besomeone who has left college or University looking for their first job within industry. You may already be in a Purchasing, Buying, Procurement or Supply Chain role, but looking to gain the CIPS qualification which this businesswill help you achieve. Other key experience and skills:

- MS office including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Computer literate - experience of ERP systems (CIM50 and/or Sage50) would be an advantage
- Must have an interest in, or experience of, the STEM sector
- Previous purchasing experience in a high-tech manufacturing industry would be a distinct advantage
- Confident and clear telephone manner
- High level of accuracy
- Able to communicate and liaise effectively with people of all levels
- GCSE English Language and Maths at level C or above as a minimum
- Full UK driving licence and insurance to cover business use
