The UK Sports Institute (previously known as the EIS) and British Wheelchair Basketball have an exciting opportunity for a part time Performance Lifestyle Practitioner to working with their World Class Programme.

**A snapshot of the role**

This PL practitioner role will provide the delivery and development of Performance Lifestyle support to world class programme athletes within British Wheelchair Basketball (BWB), complimenting the strategical objectives of the sport and by working as part of an inter-disciplinary performance support team.

Within this role you will be responsible for the holistic support and development of world class athletes across the whole Performance Lifestyle delivery framework.

British Wheelchair Basketball operates through a decentralised camp-based programme, both nationally and internationally. The requirement of this role would be to support and deliver both in person at nationally based camps and remotely outside of camps. The camp delivery is split into distinct phases.
- Summer period (May - September) - condensed block of training camps for both squads in preparation for Major competitions Worlds, Europeans and Paralympics.
- Winter period (October - April) - 4/5 day monthly training camps the Women’s squad and more sporadic Men’s squad camps based on gaps in the European club season. When not on camp, there is a high need for proactive and positive communication to ensure on-going connection and engagement with both athletes and staff.

In this role, the PL practitioner will also form part of the wider PL community within the UKSI - here they will contribute to knowledge development and best practice sharing across the organisation to support the ongoing evolution of world class Performance Lifestyle support and practice
