Hounslow, United Kingdom Care2rise Limited Full time

Do you have a passion for making a positive impact on young people and children?

We are looking for a select group of creative, energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our Ofsted regulated Residential Care Home, for young people aged 10-18. This excellent opportunity provides work alongside children and young people who may have Emotional, Behavioural and Development difficulties.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills within residential childcare. You will work with disadvantaged children aged 10 to 18 years, many of whom have a history of trauma, neglect or abuse, supporting them with all aspects of their growth, development and enjoyment of life. You will help to provide a safe, nurturing, caring and therapeutic home environment that supports all their needs, and enables them to thrive and flourish. This will include everyday activities, such as taking them to school, cleaning and cooking, and supporting and encouraging them with play and home-based activities, as well as supporting them to engage with a range of external activities to encourage and help them fulfil their social, emotional, physical, creative and spiritual needs.

The role can be incredibly rewarding, but can also be challenging at times. We will be there during the good times, as well as the difficult times, and will need to show resilience and determination to overcome the hurdles, and support them with their emotions and behaviours.

You will have some experience of working with children with emotional and behavioural needs within a residential home environment (we particularly welcome applicants with a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People) You will need to have a good understanding of the impact of trauma on young people, and the challenges they face.

Enhanced DBS will be required.
