Connect2Luton are excited to recruit for an Asset Manager DART on behalf of Luton Borough Council within their Luton Rising department

Purpose of Post:
To develop the asset management of the Luton DART in accordance with ISO55001, to help develop an integrated Asset Management System, to close out construction works done by the previous suppliers, to manage the interface between Luton Rising, Bartlett Squareand the Airport

Principal Responsibilities:

- Develop asset management strategies to maximise property and other commercial income for the Station in order to meet business objectives and targets.
- With guidance from the head of Asset, research strategies for the station. Deliver the strategy in accordance with safety and legal requirements, and our green vision.
- Produce and manage the asset plan and budget for the stations and guideway. Provide accurate budgetary information and periodic income forecasts.
- Develop strong commercial relationships at senior level leading to increased influence and business partnerships that maximise returns.
- Be identified as a clear point of contact for all construction and maintenance matters, and develop strategic partnerships.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Luton DART management policies.
- Undertake complex contractual negotiations issues with stakeholders and senior management as and when required.
- Act as On-Call Manager for Luton DART to support the contractors where needed.
- In the absence of the Head of Asset, the post holder will be responsible for the safety of all Luton DART assets.

About You:

- Recent experience managing either (but not limited to) Civils, and Mechanical-Electrical, Fire, Communications assets within the Rail & Airway industry.
- Experience of effective working with a broad range of partners and stakeholders.
- Experience in working with, or towards, an ISO 55001 compliant asset management system
- Able to work effectively with partners demonstrating drive and passion to understand and achieve joint goals and objectives, sharing information and valuing others experience and expertise.
- Able to influence people and build relationships at all levels of an organisation.
- Able to provide visible and visionary leadership.
- Able to grasp and comprehend a situation and find and organise practical and effective resolutions.
- Able to design and implement appropriate reports to ensure that all appropriate key performance indicators can be monitored in a meaningful way.
- Able to grasp and comprehend a situation and find and organise practical and effective resolutions.
- Knowledge of ISO standard 55000 and how this is implemented in practice.
- A degree in an Engineering discipline plus some work experience. OR significant work experience within the Asset Management industry
