Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, ensuring the well-being of patients, and maintaining accurate records. You will be based within care homes across Teesside delivering support for last minute emergencies and sickness.

**Duties**:

- Assist patients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Help patients with mobility and transfers
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Assist in the development and implementation of care plans
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is essential (at least 6 months experience in the UK)
- Proficient in using basic IT systems for documentation purposes
- Access to reliable transportation to travel to care homes in Redcar, Middlesbrough, Stockton and Hartlepool
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and their families
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others

**Job Type**: Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £11.44-£12.80 per hour
