**Job Description**:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Sadlergates Catering. As a Catering Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting the smooth operation of catering events and ensuring our clients receive outstanding service.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in food preparation and setup for catering events, including BBQs, hog roasts, hot buffets and sandwich buffets.
- Set up dining areas and buffet stations, ensuring they are visually appealing and well-organised.
- Serve food to guests during events, providing attentive and friendly service.
- Clear tables, collect used dishes, and maintain cleanliness in the dining area during and after events.
- Collaborate with the catering team to ensure smooth event coordination and execution.
- Assist in packing and returning equipment after events to the appropriate storage area.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
- Assist in loading and unloading catering equipment from vehicles as required.
- Respond to guest inquiries and address their needs promptly and courteously.
- Provide support in event breakdown and cleanup.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is advantageous but not essential.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and dedication to delivering high-quality service.
- Flexibility to work on weekends and potentially on weekdays for special events.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations is desirable.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry heavy items during event setups.
