About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Catering Assistant to join our team at Mitie. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the exceptional customer experience in our dining areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain dining and service areas, including setting up furniture, trolleys, and cleaning equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and serve food in correct portions.
  • Wash dishes, cutlery, and other catering equipment, and perform daily cleaning of all catering areas.
  • Collect cash and bank, maintain records and procedures, and undertake key holding responsibilities.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate regularly with customers, managers, and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Previous catering experience in a similar environment is desirable, but not essential as comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Adequate numeracy, literacy, and communication skills are required.
  • A strong passion for delivering exceptional customer service and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team are essential.
