**The Role and Department**:
We have an opportunity for a Peer Support Worker to join the organisation on a permanent basis. The Listening Space is a therapeutic space for people to come and feel listened to and supported. Listening Space peer support workers will work with clients both face-to-face contact and through offering support over the telephone. These clients may present in mental health crisis who require a place to offload, de-escalate or get away from day-to-day stresses. A service specification is available on the following page.

For this role, we are looking for people who have lived experience of mental ill health either through their own experience or supporting another and would like to take the step in supporting people within their own community.

You will also support with the set up and close down of the space, working with individuals and groups. You will be working alongside your Listening Space colleagues and the wider team to support and safeguard those accessing the services.

A person-centred & values-led approach is priority, and as an organisation we commit to providing training and invaluable experience in any identified areas of development for all of our workforce.

Pay: £12,792.00 per year
