**What you'll do**
As a Specialist Sanctions Investigations Manager in Financial Crime Risk, you'll be providing sanctions expertise to stakeholders across the Group and contributing to the development of our sanctions framework. You'll carry out timely and accurate reportingto HM Treasury, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), via the OFAC Compliance Officer, and have opportunities for involvement in sanctions initiatives within the wider industry.
Day-to-day, you'll be:

- Monitor and assess the external regulatory and political environment and communicate these to stakeholders across the Group
- Review and update training sanctions training material for delivery to colleagues.
- Work with the Data and Analytics team to draw data driven risk insights and proactively manager sanctions risk.
- Managing policy breaches including reporting to the relevant authorities
- Leading and supporting projects to enhance sanctions risk management across the Group
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of the Group Sanctions Policy

**The skills you'll need**
We're looking for someone with previous experience in a financial crime compliance related role, preferably with a sanctions focus. Individuals from a legal, policy maintenance, or regulatory engagement background will also be considered
Additionally, you'll demonstrate:

- An interest and awareness of global events that influence the geopolitical environment
- Knowledge of the regulatory and legislative landscape for sanctions across key jurisdictions in particular UK, EU, and US sanctions.
- An ability to communicate complex messages to stakeholders in a succinct fashion with a focus on action.
- Organisational awareness including working knowledge of risks, products, processes and controls
- Experience of managing a range of different stakeholders
