A new position has become available for a Flight Service Coordinator covering maternity leave at our Cambridge Airport.
Purpose of the position
The Flight Service Coordinator is responsible for processing all customers in and through the Jet Centre from the beginning of an enquiry to passenger handling.
This includes ensuring that customer requests (handling, catering, hotels, taxis etc) are met to the highest standards, through maintaining exceptional professional customer service skills whilst adhering to set regulations.
**Responsibilities**:
- Submit mandatory immigration and customs forms.
- Check in and boarding duties for regular flight schedules and ad hoc flights.
- Provide follow me services (when necessary)
- Marshalling and dispatching of aircraft (when necessary)
- Chocking of the Aircraft (when necessary)
- Adhere to security procedures and carry out security related duties as necessary, including security screening of passengers, staff and crew.
- Assist with HBR process to meet regulated requirements, including movement of baggage and other items.
- Plan and coordinate flights in cooperation with responsible airport departments.
- Organise fuel, catering, transportation, aircraft services, parking, hangarage, loading of cabin and inflight services.
- Escort passengers, crew, and any other vehicles / persons on the airfield
- Arrange hotel, limousine and taxi reservations.
- Process, respond to queries and amend handling requests (ensuring all charges are correct on handling orders)
- Meet and greet passengers and crew.
- Provide services for aircraft requested by crew
- Provide transport for passengers and crew.
- Provide weather, NOTAMs and documents for flight crew.
- Update FBO computer system to ensure correct billing to customers.
- Charge via cash or credit card according to the handling orders

**Education**:
- No criminal record (for requesting airport document of identification and a criminal history record from your current country of residence)
- Ability to work on own initiative and take responsibility where necessary and to work as part of a team.
- Reliable and flexible to work shifts as required.
- To provide a 5-year checkable history (to meet regulations)
- Lived in the UK for a min of 3 years (to meet regulations)
**Experience**:
- Customer service orientated personality with the ability to deal with demanding passengers and crew.
- Must be proactive, flexible, organised, and capable of handling multiple tasks.
- Good written and spoken communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills. -Smart appearance. -Ability to work under pressure. -Excellent attention to detail. -Ability to prioritise workload.
- Computer literate,
- Follow safety and security procedures, and put them into effect
- Security Officer Trained and DNXCT trained would be an advantage
Additional local needs
- Driving licence
- Experience in working in a customer service environment.
- Good standard of English language required.
