- We are looking for a Support Worker to join our Domiciliary Care Service which covers Ipswich and Stowmarket on a permanent and full time basis (37.5 hours a week). Shifts will be spread across mornings, afternoons, evenings and sleep ins, weekends and bank holidays. You will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £60.00 for any sleep in shifts carried out. The payment for sleep ins is non-contractual.
- Due to the nature of this service, we are looking for applicants who hold a full, clean driving licence.**About our Service**
- Domiciliary support is anything from 30-minute calls up to a 24-hour service with a sleep in.- We support 14 people who all have varying support needs. Most of the people we support live in their own flat or house and we support them with everyday living skills and assistance with personal care and/or medication. Some of the individuals we support attend day services.
- We are looking for someone who has a good sense of humour and are fun to spend time with The people we are supporting are looking for their new Support Worker to enjoy participating in their various activities and be respectful to their individual needs.
- You must have the ability to work flexibily across various shifts spread over weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays between the hours of 07.00 and 22.00. Shifts vary including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and sleep ins. Flexibility is essential for us to be able to meet the needs of the people we support.

What does a Support Worker do?

As a Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will help to ensure the people we support live a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life. You will have excellent communication skills and be a naturally caring and patient personality. Typical responsibilities may include:

- Supporting people to live independently - budget management, paying bills, housework, organising appointments and cooking delicious healthy meals.
- Excellent communication skills and Relationship building - supporting the people we support to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.
- Community & Social Inclusion - supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and social events to promote life skills and individuality.
- Personal care - helping people to get ready for the day. This may include prompting the people we support to take their medication and assisting with bathing, showering and using the bathroom. Not all Support Worker roles include high levels of personal care.
