**Overview of a Legal Assistant Social and Litigation**

Pertemps have an exciting opportunity within Harrow Council for a self-driven and motivated Legal Assistant?Social and Litigation setting to join an expanding team. The role of Legal Assistant?Social and Litigation has a competitive pay rate of £14.21 per hour to £18.13 per hour.? Other benefits include excellent training and support for career development and 21 days holiday (excluding Bank Holidays).

**The Main Purpose of Legal AssistantSocial and Litigation**:

- To undertake more complex work with mínimal supervision in the areas of civil and criminal litigation and children's and adults' social care and education matters.- To have conduct of routine cases including civil and criminal litigation and children's and adults' social care and education matters, with appropriate mínimal supervision.- When required to carry out work for, and under the control of, HB Public Law Limited, the Alternative Business Structure which has been established by Harrow Council to deliver legal services to certain third party organisations.- To ensure that the service provided is (a) responsive to corporate and customer requirements, (b) provides value for money to the highest professional standard and (c) complies with Lexcel requirements.**About you, the successful Legal Assistant Social and Litigation Assistant will have**:

- To hold the CILEX at Fellow level and be entitled to call yourself a Chartered Legal Executive Lawyer or equivalent qualification.- Experience conducting a caseload with minimum supervision covering at least one of the following areas: civil and criminal litigation and children's and adults' social care and education work- Able to work unsocial hours and/or at venues a reasonable distance from primary place of work**About us**
