Gloucester, United Kingdom EDF Limited Full time

Are you looking for an engaging and exciting opportunity to help Britain achieve #CarbonNetZero? Are you known for your skills in influencing and communication? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for the next Organisational Capability Specialist with us at EDF

**The Opportunity**

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring we have the right number of people, with the right competencies, to maintain safety and business performance, whether that be in support of construction, operation or decommissioning. Collaborating with HR colleagues, line managers, and other stakeholders, you will have responsibility for delivering key work streams and establishing an enduring approach to Organisational Capability.

Our team plays a pivotal role in managing Organisational Capability at a time of significant transformation and rapid improvement. We are developing and implementing a forward-thinking approach that supports leaders in managing their resources, as well as providing a companywide perspective on vulnerabilities, addressing these through development programmes, pipelines and apprenticeships. We are creating an environment in which changes impacting capability are enabled, controlled, and supported.

**Pay, benefits and culture**

We can offer a competitive salary from £40,069 - £71,779 and you’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications. We’re happy to work flexibly around your working requirements. Ideally you’ll be in the Gloucester office one day a week and can work flexibility around the other days.

We’ll value the difference you bring and offer opportunities for you to thrive and succeed.

**What you’ll be doing**

In this role, you will engage with key stakeholders, including internal and external regulators, to demonstrate the effective management of organisational capability and appropriate improvement activities to address possible shortfalls. While working with key stakeholders, you will provide Governance, Oversight, Support and performance activities for all aspects of Organisational Capability to aid the Nuclear Generation business strategy.

Other responsibilities include:

- Establishing strategies and deliverables to address emerging skills / common capability risks and opportunities, working with stakeholders across licensees to ensure timely implementation to meet business objectives.
- Developing and overseeing Pipeline Strategies including apprentices and graduates, working with HR, the Early Careers team and the line to fulfil business needs
- Implementing a robust resource planning framework that provides visibility and consistency of people numbers and cost base as the organisation changes and enable effective progress reporting.
- Interpreting outcomes from reports and analysis, providing trending information, analysing market factors and providing insights and recommendations, contributing to strategic discussions in relation to organisational capability

**Who you are**

As our next Organisational Capability Specialist, you will demonstrate a “can do” attitude, be highly motivated and calm under pressure. You’ll utilise your extensive skills in influencing, communication, organisation and facilitation. Other requirements include:

- Be pragmatic and solutions focused, delivering positive outcomes through a period of change within a heavily regulated industry
- Feel at ease in unfamiliar territory, you will be able to innovate and adopt a creative approach to problem solving
- Be able to see the bigger picture - what we do influences not just a business unit, but a set of aligned nuclear organisations, the UK nuclear workforce and government.
- Be able to interpret business strategy and anticipate impact on organisational capability including workforce planning
- Have a creative approach to supporting and developing a diverse, agile workforce

**We would also love you to have the following**:

- Experience in communicating organisational change in a clear and concise fashion to ensure effective delivery at all levels
- Great analytical skills and an ability to think independently to identify trends, behaviours and insights that will be effective at helping the organisation improve its business strategy
- Experience of working as on operational practitioner is preferred but not essential
