Junior Assistant Custody Services

Clearing & Payments department supports the Bank’s front office, middle office and retail functions through the provision of operational services of payment processing and banking infrastructure support. As a Junior Assistant Custody Services - Mandarin Speaking, your primary responsibility will be to support the Custody Services team and further development of the products and capabilities. This is a strategic growth area for Bank of China (BOC) as increasing cross-border flows between the UK and China build demand for Custodian Services. This is permanent full time position.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist with Project Management responsibilities within the Custody Services team
- Support the team to assist with project coordination responsibilities
- Organise and arrange project related meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Support ongoing development of the Custody Services offering
- Support the team with creation and execution of test cases and testing documents
- Process day-to-day activities for the Custody Services products, including accurate and timely processing of Customer Transactions, completion of daily reconciliations, exception handling and data management, and ensure adherence to control obligations, demonstrating understanding, awareness and proactive management of operational risk
- Investigate and aim to resolve any processing issues and general queries
- Uphold high customer satisfaction standards
- Assist with the testing and implementation of new systems where required
- Capture statistical information for reporting and MI

**Requirements**:

- Experience in Custody, Payments, Accounting or Banking
- Experience/knowledge of Custody Business or Operations Services
- Experience in Project or Change Management
- Capable of working in a fast paced environment whilst being able to deliver high quality results
- Detail orientated
- Good organisation skills
- Knowledge of MS Access or database technology is essential
