Workshop Assistant

We are looking to welcome a workshop assistant into our family run business based in Northamptonshire. We are looking for an experienced workshop assistant or someone with hands on/practical experience in the building trade or otherwise to join our team in producing and delivering quality made to order garden summer houses, sheds, studios, and bespoke garden buildings. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our customers receive the service in which we pride ourselves on; the highest quality from production to assembly.
Overall purpose of the role: Producing high quality wooden products such as all aspects of construction for sheds, summer houses, studios and bespoke garden buildings
- Prepare and operate a range of machinery, tools and equipment to produce wooden products used for creating bespoke garden buildings
- Preparing wooden products for assembly process which may include cutting, sanding and securing mechanical fixtures and fittings
- Ensure quality checks are carried out on all items in the workshops, before and during the manufacturing process
- Ensure workshop and working area is kept clean and tidy, in line with healthy and safety legislation
- Assisting with general workshop duties to enable efficient production of items
- Comply with organisational health and safety requirements and report any concerns to management
- Wear correct personal protective equipment
- Previous work within the building trade is desirable but not essential
- Must hold a standard driving licence as some driving may be required

**Salary**: From £27,000.00 per year
