Overview:
**Duties**:
**Machine Set Up**:Prepare and set up the CNC Laser machine for specific jobs. This includes loading material, adjusting machine settings, and ensuring all safety measures are in place

Identify and address issues that may arise during the production process. This requires a good understanding of the CNC Laser Machine and the nesting process.

**Nesting**:Write or modify nested programs to operate the CNC Laser machine. This involves using CAD and laser software.

Reading and understanding the nests to ensure the cutting process will run efficiently

**Material**: Ensuring the material racks are correct in order of thickness and pallets are stored safely and efficiently

All material must have a material identification number and grade marked on the sheet before storing in the correct rack

The laser operator will carry out a stock check as and when required

Choose appropriate materials for each job ensuring the material you are about to use is the correct grade and finish.

**Quality Control**:Monitor the production process for each laser cut sheet ensuring that the finished product meets the quality standards. Inspect the first cut part on the laser bed, if any adjustments are required you are to carry them out until you are satisfied with the product.

**Maintenance**:Carry out routine planned maintenance on a weekly and monthly basis. Liaise with Amada for technical advice as and when required.

**Forklift Driving & Lifting Equipment**:The laser operator will be requiredto operate company forklifts and overhead cranes to assist with their day-to-day job moving material from one area of the workshop to the other.

**Health & Safety**:Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. This includes using personal protective equipment (PPE) and following proper procedures.

**Work Quality**:Able to deliver consistently high-quality of work under pressure and within deadlines, with exceptional attention to detail.

**Housekeeping**:Work with the shop foreman to ensure the workplace environment is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness, and complies with company policies and standards at all times.

Pay: £14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 37 per week
