**Workshop Labourer/Driver**

**The workshop labourer/Driver position for AG Brown Ltd plays a crucial role, they are responsible for Carrying out manual labour tasks in the workshop or when required out on site. The workshop labourer/labourer must have a good eye for detail, be able to work to tight deadlines, and can work both independently and as part of a team.**

**Manual Labour**: The workshop Labourer will carry out physical hands-on work in and around the workshop and when required will carry out similar duties on site.

**Assistance to Skilled Workers**: The workshop Labourer assists tradesmen as and when required, setting up equipment and performing basic tasks to support the overall workflow

**Site Work**:You may be asked to work on-site as and when required

**Cleaning and Maintenance**: The workshop labourer is responsible for maintaining a clean and organised workshop, this includes sweeping floors, disposing of waste, and ensuring that tools and equipment are properly stowed away. Performing basic maintenance tasks on machines and equipment.

**Assembly**: Helping assemble metal components or products, this may involve using hand tools, power tools, or other equipment to join, fasten, or fit metal parts together.

**Quality Control**: Inspecting finished products for defects and ensuring they meet quality standards, reporting any issues to the Foreman or chargehand or the Quality Control Manager

**Safety Compliance**: Adhering to safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety proto calls.

**Assisting Skilled Workers**: Supporting the fabricator welders/welders and laser operator in their tasks. This may involve holding materials, providing tools, or assisting in other ways to facilitate the production process.

**Communication**: Communicating effectively with the team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and to report any issues or concerns.

**Training**: Depending on the experience level, the labourer might undergo training to enhance their skills and knowledge in the metalworking process.

**Driving**: The workshop labourer will be required to hold a full UK driving license with no more than 3 penalty points.

Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 37 per week
