Laborer Position

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Labourer to join our team at NOV in Glenrothes. As a Labourer, you will be responsible for providing support to the production and site teams, ensuring a smooth operation of the workspace.

The ideal candidate should have experience in a manufacturing environment, with proficiency in operating designated machines and maintaining HSE standards. Forklift driving skills are essential, and ability to work independently is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate designated machine safely and competently
• Carry out designated tasks as instructed by management
• Forklift driver with various movements of pallets and pipe around the facility
• Assist in keeping the facility in a clean and safe state
• Operate forklift as and when required
• Assist machine operators as and when required
• Empty swarf containers when required
• Assist Fitting department when required
• Assist Maintenance department when required
• Make sure workflow is maximised by moving components to the correct stations
• Assist management team when required
• Demonstrate awareness of company objectives, policies and procedures
• Promote and adhere to health and safety policies and procedures without exception
• Ensure all company policies surrounding health & safety, quality requirements, and housekeeping are met
• Adhere to inspection criteria, policies, and procedures without exception
• Travel as and when required

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Forklift and shop floor experience is essential
• An exceptional ability to understand, evaluate, and apply technical information
• Ability to apportion time effectively to complete tasks
• Willingness to provide colleagues with the information they need to complete their tasks and eliminate roadblocks
