Job Summary
**We’re hiring for a Support Worker in St Columb and surrounding area.**:
We have opportunities in St Columb Major and nearby towns of Wadebridge and Newquay, providing support centred around each person’s values, preferences and needs. This could include developing daily living skills, accessing their local and wider communities, personal care and medication needs. We know you will come with your own set of unique interests, skills and experiences, which can widen and enhance the support of individuals. Previous care and support experience is not essential, but a drive to support people to live a full life in a way they want is.
Working in friendly teams you’ll be supported in your role from day one. All support workers work flexible shifts to provide a 24/7 service to the people we support. Visit our website for more information.

**Your responsibilities**:
- To empower the people we support to live the lives they want to lead
- To develop daily living skills.
- Support the people we support to access their communities for socialisation, employment, training or friendships
- To contribute to, develop and implement the individuals care plans.
- To communicate effectively and professionally with people we support, their family members, and external professionals.
- Maintain the health needs of the individuals we support
About the role
Brandon exists to enable children, young people and adults with a learning disability, autism, or both, to live life in the way they choose. We provide high-quality, individualised support to around 1,600 people and have a staff team of over 2,000. Operating across southern England and London, support is provided by a widely dispersed workforce, including public spaces and the homes of the people we support.
