We are an organisation that values the unique qualities we all have, whatever our background and circumstances, and the opportunity to bring our authentic selves to work. We are an anti-discriminatory organisation and we work hard to challenge oppression in whatever forms it takes.

If you feel a sense of activism, enjoy a challenging and rewarding role, and recognise yourself in Julian Support’s values, then we would like find out more about what makes you tick.

You will be part of a team who provide on-site support for adults with complex mental health needs at our Hospital Road site in Bury St Edmunds. We are looking for enthusiastic and creative people who enjoy a making a difference to come and join us.

What does it involve?

You will be working alongside people living at our supported housing service, proactively helping them to gain the confidence, skills and motivation they need to move on into the community. to cope and survive. You will use your ability to connect with people and develop their trust to help them to overcome barriers and achieve their goals.

Do I have to have experience?

You will value individuality and take a non-judgemental and anti-authoritarian approach to providing support. You may have previous experience of supporting others, either in a professional or personal capacity, or you may have experience of overcoming challenges in your own life. Whatever your background, full training and support will be provided to ensure you have the knowledge and skills required to fulfil the role.

Tell me a bit more about the job?
