**THE ROLE**

Here at SGN we are growing, and you will be one of two new additions to the Assets Records Team which will be based in our head office site, Horley. Our head office is local to Horley mainline train station and easily accessible from the M23.

You will be reporting directly to one of the Asset Team Leaders and this role will require you to have strong customer service and administrative skills, to ensure the smooth operation for our Gas Network/Distribution team.

Your day-to-day duties will include inputting asset records, scheduling and completion of maintenance inspections, reporting which will include repairs and replacements across many areas in line with company policy and procedure and various key legislativerequirements.

You will need to have or be able to develop a basic understanding of how operational gas assets and systems work to interpret various formats of asset data.

**Key responsibilities will include;**
- Data entry and ensuring that the Asset records are well maintained
- Having effective communication with the Maintenance Managers and Engineers
- Following SGN guidelines and Policies you will be regularly maintaining work schedules
- Being able to multitask and retrieve relevant Data records
- Supporting with other Asset Management and Gas Control activities

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**

We’re looking for self-motivated induvial that can prioritise their work with good attention to detail. We’re open to different backgrounds and skillsets, as long as you have (or are happy to quickly develop) a basic understanding of gas engineering principlesand asset architecture.

**We’re also looking for;**
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, managers, and customers both within SGN and other external parties
- Computer literate, ideally being competent and experienced in the use of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of SQL would be an advantage, but is not essential
- Comfortable dealing with large datasets
