Ktc Outpatient Clinic Receptionist

We have a part time permanent post available as an Outpatient Clinic Receptionist within the King’s Treatment Centre at King’s Mill Hospital.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person who has an eye for detail and who will put the patient and customer care at the forefront of the service provided.
**You must have**:
- A good general education and have GCSE English C or above or equivalent
- Good computer skills and the ability to competently navigate our various computer systems
- Good customer care skills and experience and ideally some experience of working in an office / reception environment
- Flexibility in your approach to work, with a willingness to work in any reception area within the Outpatient setting. You may also be required to cover reception at our ACH site.
- The ability to work any day of the week and between the hours of 8.00 am and 8.00 pm to meet the needs of our clinics. (Rotas will be provided in advance).
To be responsible for booking patients into clinic.
Re-directing patients to the correct clinic if they are in the wrong clinic area.
Be responsible for outcoming patients' appointments when they have been seen by their consultant
Ensuring all Missing outcomes are dealt with in a timely order in line with the trusts policy.
Regularly maintain mandatory training.
Provide support to the team as and when required.

The main duties of the role is to receive all patients in a friendly and professional manner. Promoting a positive image and providing high level of customer care.
Supporting patients to book in electronically where available or alternatively at the reception desk by verifying and updating patient details on the PAS system and ensuring the patients case notes are updated with any changes.
Booking in patients on our Whiteboard or Clarity booking in systems.
Making follow up appointments for patients in line with agreed protocols and booking rules, liaising with other teams when necessary to ensure the appointment requirements are actioned as required.
Ensuring all patients attending the clinic have an outcome to their appointment by the end of each working day and accurate tracking of case notes.
Helping patients with their enquiries or issues that may involve complaints that require escalation while always providing an understanding and caring approach.
