Automation Directors Assistant

"Directors Assistant is a key role central to the quality and accuracy of Sky Sports News output. You will be operating in a fast-paced Live environment, working closely with directors, producers, presenters, and technical staff." - Senior Automation DA

What you'll do:

- Ensuring programme editorial timings are observed.
- Coding programme rundowns for Broadcasting.
- On/ off air counts
- Counting - VT inserts/ Commercial break durations/ Studio & OB chat times
- Liaising with Scheduling and Transmission.
- Create daily commercial break schedule.
- Keep across department correspondence.
- Ensure Ofcom regulations are followed.
- Working with broadcast systems: INEWS media platform/ Ross Overdrive Automated Production Control
- Shift work including some weekends and Bank Holidays (40 hours p/w)
- Must organise own travel to/from Sky Studios Osterley
- car advisable.

What you'll bring:

- Previous broadcast experience advantageous, but nonessential.
- A team player, believing in collaboration, adaptability, and initiative.
- Able to readily embrace new technology and change.
- Good communicator - able to speak confidently over Talkback.
- Ability to multitask at fast pace.
- Able to stay focused and calm under pressure.
- Arithmetic competency necessary.
- Organised/ Flexible/ Eye for detail.
- Ability to work well with staff at all levels.
- Interest in Sport
