**About Our Client**:
Leading not for profit organisation in Glasgow.

The role of Accounts Payable Specialist is an integral part of the Accounts Payable team and will be responsible for the historic and ongoing reconciliation of the organisation and its subsidiary companies accounts. The role requires that key controls underpinning the correct process be in place and working effectively.The role of Accounts Payable Reconciliation Associate will be fully responsible for the account with the main tasks being:

- To reconcile all University and subsidiary companies accounts, investigating and resolving any variances with relevant departments.
- Work with suppliers, schools and departments, to ensure purchased products/service costs are accurate and any subsidiary entries represents an accurate accruals position.
- Providing monthly reconciliations for sign off, escalating issues when encountered.
- Facilitating audits (internal and external) and implementing any remedial actions that come from these.
- To review ageing of balances and clear down where appropriate

**The Successful Applicant**:
Ability to demonstrate experience of Accounts Payable in particular, within a high volume processing capacity.

Sound knowledge of financial IT systems. (Oracle would be beneficial)

Excellent organisational skills and flexible approach to workload.

Excellent customer service skills.

Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure.

Ability to balance competing deadlines.

Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
