**Job Overview**

The role of a Caseworker is to assist litigators in the day to day running of cases. The caseworker will work within our busy Fare Evasion Department, providing assistance where required to all team members. This role will be based in Oxford but remote working would be considered.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Assist fee earners throughout all stages of case preparation;
- Administratively manage a case load of files under the supervision of the solicitors;
- Taking clients instructions and drafting written representations and other legal documents (training and supervision will be provided);
- Assisting with diary management for fee earners and confirming relevant conference/court dates with clients;
- Dealing with new and client enquiries;
- Accurately time record for all work carried out on the case management system;
- Ensuring standards of files are met in accordance with the Office Manual and Lexcel standards;
- Provide the highest level of customer service;
- Any other duties as directed by the Team Leader, Deputy Team Leader, Clerk or a member of the Management Team.

**Person Specification**
- Experience in criminal law proceedings is desirable;
- Good communicator in both written and spoken English;
- Good understanding of client care requirements;
- Must be IT literate and be willing to learn;
- Excellent time management and organisation skills;
- Good team work ethics;
- The ability to work within a high pressure and workload environment;
- Resilient with the ability to cope with ever-changing priorities.
