We are currently recruiting an experienced HR Advisor to support Middleby Europe, based out of one of our businesses in Lincoln called Lincat.
This is a full-time permanent role, which can be a hybrid role, working from home and from the office in Lincoln in the main, however there may be a requirement to travel to our other UK site in Wigan and across Europe, this will be ad hoc and infrequent.
The role will be focused mainly on the UK parts of the business (Lincat and Middleby UK) but there will be opportunities from time to time to get involved in some of the other businesses around Europe.
*Key Areas of Responsibility**To support with all recruitment activities:

- Ensuring job descriptions are accurate and up to date.
- Production of job adverts internally and externally using the Middleby Careers Portal.
- Liaising with Recruitment Agencies.
- Arranging interviews.
- Attending interviews to support managers.
- To set up new employees the HR and T&A system. Production of clock cards for new starters and replacements.

To manage sickness absence:

- To track sicknesses and ensure that return to works are completed and returned in a timely manner.
- To support managers in monitoring absence levels in line with Company Policy.
- Managing long term sickness with the manager including welfare meetings, occupational health referrals and capability procedures where necessary. Arranging and attending welfare meetings and keeping records.

Case Management:

- To manage all employee relations activities in line with Company Policy.
- Arranging and sending invite letters for disciplinary, grievance and flexible working.
- Attend meetings as the HR representative to assist and advise on best practice.
- Ensuring that following the meetings that the outcome is confirmed in writing to the employee.
- Arranging and attending Appeal Meetings as appropriate and ensuring invite and outcome letters are sent in a timely manner.

Managing the leaver process:

- Acknowledging resignations and informing payroll.
- Completing exit Interviews and raising areas of concerns to the European HR Director.
- Processing of changes to terms and conditions of employment once authorised via the Middleby Careers portal, to send letters / contracts to confirm changes, keeping the HR and T&A system up to date with any changes and notifying payroll.
- Supporting managers with consultation processes as and when required.
- Supporting with regular meetings with the Trade Union Representatives.
- Arranging training
- Coordination of apprentices.
- Ensuring that employee files are kept up to date.
- Ensure all audit requests are completed as and when required.
- Ensuring that company policies and procedures are always followed.
- Work flexibly as a full team member by covering for holidays and absence, by role re-allocation and carrying out any other duties, which may reasonably be requested of the role when required.

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Prior experience of working in a busy HR department.
- Good knowledge of HR processes and the ability to advise managers in accordance with the Company Policies.
- Good experience of Case Management
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
- Experience of working in a unionised environment
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft software, particularly Word and Excel.
- Ability to accurately note take.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confidentiality.
