We are PropCare, a subsidiary of the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre and we are looking to recruit a Compliance Officer to work within our team based at the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre Liverpool.

**Job Summary**

The postholder will carry out audits and inspections ensuring compliance against legislative and published guidelines, including, but not limited to: Health Technical Memorandums (HTMs), British Standards, National Specifications for Cleanliness in the NHS and Contract Service Level Agreements.

The post holder will ensure that the Estates and Facilities Service is monitored to ensure that patients, visitors and staff are provided with a high quality, safe and compliant environment.

**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Contract Monitoring**
- Responsible for day to day performance monitoring of Soft FM and Hard FM services provided by third party contractors.
- Responsible for conducting scheduled and ad hoc, independent and joint audits in line with KPIs.
- Maintain records of all monitoring and audit activities.
- Responsible for walking the floor, engaging with stakeholders and taking proactive measures to identify and make improvements where required.
- Raise and support the management of any risks identified.
- Complete compliance report and partake in meetings with NHS client and third party providers.
- Responsible for liaising with service providers and the Trust on a regular basis, and for establishing effective working relationships with both key Trust and provider staff.

**Health and Safety Management**
- Undertake Health and Safety inspections, proactively managing any areas requiring improvement and action.
- Produce monthly report containing Health and Safety findings.
- Encouraged to use initiative to make improvements to systems and processes already in place.

**Communications**
- Communicates widely at all levels across the Trust and with all third party providers.

**General**
- To plan and organise personal workload to achieve departmental deadlines and work in a flexible way and to undertake any other duties as required.

**Desired experience - preferable but not essential**
- Experience of working within a clinical environment.
- Experience of monitoring and/or undertaking Hard and Soft FM duties e.g. knowledge of planned maintenance and domestic services.
- Monitoring/managing compliance in a building services environment.
