**Job role: Deputy COLP / Compliance Solicitor**

**Location: Liverpool City Centre**

**Job Type: Permanent Full time**

**Basic salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per year (DOE)**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular internal compliance audits to identify and address potential issues or areas of improvement.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that may impact the legal practice.
- Provide guidance and training to legal practitioners and staff on compliance-related matters.
- Investigate and resolve compliance concerns, complaints, and violations.
- Collaborate with legal teams to address and mitigate compliance risks.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external regulatory bodies and agencies.
- Prepare and submit required compliance reports to regulatory authorities.
- Monitor and report on compliance performance to senior management.
- Stay current with industry best practices and recommend improvements to enhance compliance.

**Qualifications and Desired Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in law, business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a compliance role within a legal practice, minimum 5 years’ experience.
- Strong knowledge of legal regulations and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certified Compliance Professional (CCP) or similar certification is a plus.
