Our Bar Supervisor ensures operational standards are maintained and small teams are supervised to deliver efficient and high-quality bar services during an exciting range of public and private events including performances, graduation ceremonies, VIP receptions, weddings, filming sessions, royal visits, fine-dining events and conferences. Ensuring customer expectations and operational standards are met by our bar team is central to the success of these.

**Job Purpose**

Our Bar Supervisor ensures operational standards are maintained and small teams are supervised to deliver efficient and high quality bar services during a wide range of public and private events including performances, graduation ceremonies, VIP receptions, weddings, royal visits, filming sessions, fine-dining events and conferences. Excellent customer service from our bar team is central to the success of these.

**Key Responsibilities**
- To maintain a polite, positive and professional manner at all times.
- To supervise the serving of all our customers in our public bar and any mobile bar stations and ensure excellent standards of service and presentation achieves high levels of customer satisfaction at all times.
- To supervise the setting up, clearing and topping up of our public bar and any mobile bar stations with drinks, service equipment, signage and promotions and report any equipment or systems failures to the Catering Manager.
- To ensure our bilingual bar pricelist is correctly displayed and all bar tills are kept up-to-date with price changes.
- Be the first point of contact for customers during service and feedback customer comments and operating issues to the Catering Operations Manager.
- To ensure teams are supervised to follow College procedures for service delivery and bar income either via tills or invoicing systems.
- To contribute towards the delivery of drinks requirements for events and undertake drinks preparation as required.
- To supervise teams to ensure all departmental health and safety and bar hygiene practices are implemented, audit action points are implemented, hazards are identified, improvements are highlighted and non-adherence of practices are reported to the Catering Manager.
- To follow College operating standards for purchasing, deliveries, stock control, stock-taking and invoicing.

**Key Responsibilities**
- To assist the Catering Manager with new staff inductions and on job training, new standards ensuring details are recorded in staff files.
- To undertake any professional development and training appropriate to the post including becoming an Alcohol Personal Licence Holder.
