**JOB SUMMARY**:
Chelmsford City Racecourse, the UK’s newest racecourse, is looking for a new Marketing Executive to help build the most innovative brand in British racing.

You will be working closely with the Head of Marketing & Creative and will be a core member of the marketing team. The post-holder will be responsible for many day-to-day marketing operations, including being the primary contact for marketing related raceday tasks such as the production of the race card and race day crib sheet. You will support all departments in the Commercial Office to achieve their goals working across the Private Events, Ticketed Events, and Racecourse/ Hospitality teams. The role will include many traditional marketing elements including content marketing, brand marketing, advertising, press relations and print marketing.

Alongside the traditional marketing mix, the postholder will have the opportunity to manage the racecourses social media channels. You will work with a team of photographers, videographers and other agency partners to create exceptional social content and will also be expected to create short form video content. They will also grow and interact with our online community and take our social media to the next level.

Your team includes a Digital Marketing Manager, Graphic Designer and a variety of trusted agencies.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Create short-form video content and distribute on social channels
- Own the social strategy with aim to grow social following across all relevant platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok
- Interact with and engage our online community, starting social conversations
- Use social as a form of brand listening and research, reporting findings back to the marketing team
- Day-to-day marketing operations, and any other ad-hoc marketing tasks assigned by the Head of Marketing & Creative
- Support Head of Marketing & Creative to create and deliver campaigns inline with the marketing strategy. Ensuring that campaigns are delivered on time, and to budget.
- Be the main point of contact for raceday marketing including arranging race cards and race day crib sheets
- Help develop the racecourse brand and be a brand guardian
- Working with the wider marketing team to grow racecourse audiences, raceday attendance, and racecourse memberships, hospitality bookings, private & corporate events and increase tickets sales for racecourse operated ticketed events
- Write and distribute press releases and blogs and develop relationships with editors and publishing partners to share racecourse campaigns and news
- Maintain asset libraries and marketing collateral
- Write briefs for designers, and photographers, overseeing any work taking place at the racecourse, and ensuring briefs are met. Work alongside agencies to produce industry leading video content and distribute it across channels
- Conduct and maintain records of competitor analysis across racing, private events venues, local hospitality and live music venues
- Work with third party companies, listing services and tourist boards to ensure that the racecourse is promoted regionally and nationally
- Arrange print, digital and other adverts, across all mediums including magazines, newspapers, flyers, mail outs, billboards, radio etc
- Work with the commercial team to create initiatives to increase customer spend per head, create promotions for onsite concessions develop merchandising opportunities

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**:
**QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE**
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Experience within a general, social media or brand marketing position
- Experience within either premium hospitality, sports or luxury sector preferable
