We offer expert veterinary care, rescue and rehoming services, programmes in the community and guidance and support to improve the lives of dogs and cats in need.

We are recruiting a Kennel Carer who will share our compassion and commitment for animal welfare to work in our Kennels.

Working with staff and volunteers across the Home, you will have a hand in helping all the dogs in our care, from assessing, feeding, exercising, cleaning and socialising to rehoming. This can be physically and emotionally demanding but is also hugely rewarding; you can view some of our amazing rescue stories **here**.

We offer a caring and supportive team, lots of variety and the opportunity to make a lasting difference to the lives of dogs who rely on us.

Week 1 - Tuesday, Friday and Saturday - day off

Week 2 - Thursday - day off

Week 3 - Tuesday and Wednesday - day off

There will also be a need to occasionally cover our evening shift - 3pm -11pm.

***Generally, you will**:

- Work flexibly in a team environment, often independently, to meet the specific needs of the dogs in our care
- Help with dogs’ assessments, feeding, cleaning, exercise, training and grooming
- From time to time, help with taking in new dogs into our care, rehoming and administrative tasks

***To be successful in this role, you need**:

- An unwavering love for dogs
- Experience in handling dogs and caring for them
- A calm, compassionate, resilient and friendly manner
- Willingness and interest to grow your understanding of dog behaviour
