Dog Squad London are looking for an experienced Dog Daycare Lead Carer to join us as we continue our rapid growth.

You will be a positive, dog-loving individual with bags of initiative. You will be an all-rounder, happy to ‘muck in’ with all levels of jobs around the centre.

**About Us**:
We are a small boutique dog daycare centre based in the Wandsworth Riverside Quarter (SW18 1NL). We specialise in small - medium sized breeds and our client base is mostly small cockapoos, cavapoos etc but we do have some bigger breeds.

We are an indoor-only site and we walk the dogs twice daily in the nearby Wandsworth Park. Our client base is rapidly growing and we are now looking for a Lead Dog Carer to join us.

**The role will involve**:
This is a varied role and you will be involved in everything from driving business growth, to social media, to cuddling the dogs & managing the whole operation & more when the Director is away.

**Responsibilities will include **_**(but are not limited to)**_**:

- Management of the daily dog daycare operation, responsible for up to 20 dogs/day, with the support of a team
- Acting as the face of the business, welcoming and meeting/greeting clients
- Owning and maintaining relationships with clients (both the furry ones and the human ones)
- Supervising dogs in our care (up to 20dogs/day); feeding them (where necessary), walking them, picking up poop, training, giving them lots of cuddles and affection, initiating enrichment games and ensuring they have a happy, safe and controlled day
- Managing the team and schedule, ensuring all jobs (Daily/weekly/monthly) are completed to a high standard
- Cleaning the centre and ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is maintained constantly
- Administration including responding to new enquiries, managing new dog trials, organising support team schedule
- Reporting on any physical or behavioural changes, taking photographs/videos of the dogs enjoying their day to share with owners
- Cleaning up after the dogs (picking up poop), and ensuring that all health/safety and dog welfare rules are followed and upheld to the highest standards
- Occasionally (and if possible), it may involve picking up/dropping off the dogs.

**Must have requirements**:

- Most importantly
- an adoration and pure love for dogs of all shapes and sizes
- At least 1 year experience in a role like this
- Experience with dogs in a groomers / kennels / day care environment etc, or a qualification in animal management / pet care or other relevant experience
- Live within appropriate travelling distance of Wandsworth Park (preferably sub 30 minutes)
- Excellent understanding of dog/animal welfare and health & safety laws
- Show a proven history through references of reliability, trustworthiness and good organisation skills
- Knowledge and understanding of dog breeds
- Must be confident walking 4 dogs at a time, and willing to walk outdoors in all weathers
- You will be CRB/disclosure checked. Multiple references are required.
- Reliable, Punctual, Professional, Positive.

**Ideally (but by no means essential)**:

- Experience of being a team leader or a management role (doesn't have to be at a daycare centre)
- Ofqual Regulated Level 3 Professional day care and boarding qualified or hold a Level 2 in a relevant pet care _(not essential if significant work experience demonstrable)_
- Full clean driving licence, held for more than 2 years
- Your own car

**The Role Practicalities**

Working Hours will fall into Monday - Friday, 7am - 6.30pm. Set working days of Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays 8am - 6.30pm, with either Monday/Friday work too.

Minimum hours offered are 30 but it will go up to 40hrs.

There is room for discussion on the above & the role has significant scope for more work as we grow.

Pay starts at £10/hr depending on experience.
